Sovereignty, security, and the Solomon Islands
Terence Wood discussed the Solomon Islands security agreement with China with Waleed Aly and Scott Stephens on ABC The Minefield.
They covered the normative dimensions to this response, how alarmed Australia and Australians should be to the prospect of increased Chinese influence in the politics of a near neighbour, and the possibly that malign aspects of that influence might be counteracted without further compromising Solomon Island sovereignty.
