Terence Wood on female political candidates in Solomon Islands
In Solomon Islands, only three women have been elected as members of parliament in the 37 years since independence, despite significant efforts by local and international organisations to improve the ratio.
Devpolicy Research Fellow Terence Wood recently authored a new paper on the topic, which was published in the Asia & the Pacific Policy Studies journal. It provides recommendations on how women candidates could be better supported.
