Dayle is the Chief Futures Officer, leading the Futures Hub. She joined the NSC on secondment from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s Trade & International Division in March 2021, where she initially took up the role of Director, Strategy and Engagement, Futures Hub.

Dayle has 20 years of experience in state and federal Government including law enforcement and defence strategic intelligence, environment and energy policy - including representing Australia in multilateral fora, well as leading innovation and behavioural economics teams.

Dayle has been awarded the 2024 Fulbright Scholarship in Australian-United States Alliance Studies (sponsored by DFAT) where she will explore the long-term trends shaping the future of the Indo-Pacific at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC.

In 2023 she was selected as the Australian representative, along with 12 others from the Indo-Pacific region, to attend the Paris Defence Young Leaders Program - an initiative led by the French Ministry of Armed Forces strategic research agency - Institut de recherche stratégique de l’École militaire (IRSEM).

Dayle has completed the Oxford Scenarios Programme at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice & Human Behaviour) from Griffith University, a Master of Social Science (Criminology) from The University of Queensland and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Policing, Intelligence & Counterterrorism from Macquarie University. She is an NSC alumni, having completed the Director-level Executive Development Program in 2019.
