Ryan Edwards talks to The Canberra Times about the Devpolicy-World Bank report on labour mobility.
‘The Gains and Pains of Working Away From Home’ is a new joint study from the Development Policy Centre and The World Bank.
Report co-author and deputy director of the Development Policy Centre, Ryan Edwards, told The Canberra Times that the evidence gathered for his study did not support fears that the scheme has made foreign workers vulnerable to exploitation and concerns have been raised that it could lead to increased marriage breakdowns, child neglect and loss of skills from sending countries.
